Progress???

Well, we are making progress slowly... On October 5, 2009 Neissa's paperwork came out of the Ministry of the Interior (MOI). Two weeks later, Sonise and Chalinda's paperwork exited MOI. That was the longest 2 weeks of my life. All three were finally in the passport printing satge which was to take 2 weeks. Neissa got her passport in 4.5 weeks, and Sonise and Chalinda's were rejected because of some paperwork issues. That has been rectified and we are hoping to get their passports in a week or so. UGH!

Next step is the medical exam. All kids must be examined by a doctor apporved by the US Consulate. It takes about one week to arrange for them to be seen and another week for the exam results to be written up. So that's another two weeks.

Final step would be approval from the US Consulate for us to bring the girls into the US. This is taking 3 days to 3 weeks. I am hoping for the best because their birthmother has been interviewed, etc.
